Not in the public domain however I think there will be when Saddam goes to trial.

Look up the Fao penisular battle.

The US needed the Iranians cleared from FAO as it gave them a block on
Iraqi southern oil & a border with Kuwait & probably a border with
Saudi.

By any means.....

We shall see what Saddam says. My guess is that this battle will crop up in
the trial & it will be interesting.

The US DIA may well ahve done the logistics & planning & Intel for
Fao. Given that was the major use of chem weapons in the war one wonders
how you could do the battle planning, logisitics etc w/o knowing full well
what was being planned & logisitics stockpiled for.

Oddly all this happened just after Rummie came for tea.
