Christine,
I'm not certain of the best way to go about this. For my part, I
am currently working on a folk song which will hopefully illuminate the
problem with this character. It will be my plan to do a performance of
it in a master voice class, and explain what I'm getting at. My hope
would be that this will increase the awareness at least here in Glendora,
of the problems with this character. It is still in the extremely early
stages of development, and only has a chorus so far (which is itself
subject to minor grammatical changes). When it is finished, however, I
will post it to this list along with a MIDI file of the tune to which I
wrote it.
