All keyboard and screen handling is done via curses calls, so this would have to be patched on the level of the curses library -- PDCurses, in this case. The current keyboard check within PDCurses is a black box: a call to kbhit(), which is a system library function. I don't even have the source for the Turbo C++ version of kbhit(), as used in the XT port. But I could try compiling that module of PDCurses to asm and see what I can find... I'll think about it. ...
