Doesn't take a genius, Terry. ;) You can use an external message editor like
timeEd (with a text editor like QEdit) or you can do it within Maximus as I'm
doing now. Here is the line in MAX.CTL which allows me to use the TSE editor
locally with Max:
Local Editor C:\TSE\E.Exe %s -eMsgFmt
TSE (E.EXE) is "The SemWare Editor", an advanced commercial version of the
QEdit text editor. The -e switch is just used to invoke a macro I wrote that
automatically sets up TSE for writing messages. You can use other text
editors as well.
