        I don't think it worked too well.
        In 1945 in Sangerhausen Kreiss citizens were order to turn in
        all guns of any kind.
        We had a pile in the square about ten ft. high and thirty ft.
        across.
        Rifles, shotguns, drillings and handguns,military and civilian.
