If you've got lines wrapping, I suspect it means you're trying to pack too
much
on each line. Many of the early BASIC programmers got in the habit of
stacking three or four IF's all on the same line to improve execution speed
and reduce the line numbering. Colons instead of new lines did make a
difference on 4mhz machines but only in the interpretive mode.
Try getting the hang of:
IF this THEN
...
ELSEIF that
....
ELSE
....
END IF
type structuring. In many cases, SELECT CASE will work even cleaner. If
you'd like, post some of the long lines you are having problems with.
