It depends on the library they're using, I guess.  It works well enough with 
my FT-450D.  flrig works quite well and has enough features for me to use it.

I love Feld Hell.  I'm a member of the Feld Hell Club (#6163).  But I rarely 
hear anyone use it.  I have tried calling CQ over around 7.084 at night but 
usually nothing.
