Steve, every upgrade I've done with NS/2 ha offered me the option of
archiving the current setup. I tried it, it worked when I backed one
new install. The only one it wouldn't work with was the last beta
before the GA.
More generally, I reset ALL archive flags on all drives before making
any 'unknown' installations, then do a DIR /AA /s > before doing
anything else after the install. There are a few obvious files in the
list that changed due to something other than the install, but this
gives you a pretty good idea of what got changed by it.
