What was once a revolutionary bit of surgery is not common place.  

It is the replacement of a tendon in the arm due to damage.  

The injury is caused by throwing too many pitches, especially 
the ones for curve balls and sliders.  

Why post this here?  

There is an epidemic growing of it in teens and younger.  It's one 
thing to have to go through it as a professional athlete.  It's 
another for one who may not even yet be in high school.
