Again, as I said to Eric...  It also depends where in Fidonet one is,
whether or not filtering was necessary.  I've been in a few echoes where
I regularly use the  key to skip over certain posters, but
otherwise I've never felt like I had to filter people out completely.

True... the worst offenders did go off to the Internet... which is
another reason why Fido (and other bbs nets) trumps Usenet nowadays.. :)
