It is rumored that I'll be able to hit Optus for an early shot in September.

It is also rumored that the early shot is an excellent idea, since a full
kit of cable modems will saturate the cable by at least 10x overload -
cutting the throughput by 90% when everyone gets on, if that's actually so.

Both to be seen, proof of the pudding et al.  (And no doubt flavoured by
early product not working at all/working poorly/stuffing up at
random/eventually getting fixed after it no longer matters..:-(
