I'm very happy with the way the Raspberry Pi Foundation has handled
this, setting standards of inclusivity and kindness for all the
community of Raspberry Pi users, and making clear that responsibility
for them shouldn't just be left to politial activists.

It's especially important because of the influence Raspberry Pi has over
children and schools and education, so it's really great to see that
even young children will get the message as often and early as possible,
and be educated in these positive values.

I'll be seeing some of the Raspberry Pi community team next week at
EuroPython so I will be able to thank them personally.

I'm one of the organisers of PyCon UK ( -
strongly recommended if you're a Python user by the way), where we'll
have an education track with a children's day
.

As usual it will be strongly supported by the Raspberry Pi Foundation,
so I will make a point of asking them to bring plenty of Raspberry Pride
banners and stickers.
