I read an interview with "Joe The Plumber's" boss, and a couple co-workers.

He was competent at his work, doing a good job in plumbing.
BUT...

He was condescending, considering himself better than everyone else, and
right-wing to the bone, blaming "the liberals" and "the
unions" etc. for
anything and everything that went wrong.
