Concerning _Antenna_, Jonathan Guy said to Troy H. Cheek in SCANRADIO:
THC>> yanking my scanner right out the window. Plus, there's
THC>> no good way to run the wires in my car.

JG> Ummmm, didn't you say this was a 70's Olds? It shouldn't be too hard
JG> to run coax in that car...thru the back seat from the trunk...I did
JG> it in an 85 Cavalier :)
'73 Oldsmobile Delta '88. We tried through the back seat. The wire goes
_somewhere_, but we couldn't figure out where. Ended up going through a hole
in the back deck.
But that just gets me from the trunk to inside the car. The problem is
running the wire from inside the trunk to the antenna. The trunk-mount CB
antenna has a clamp with a place to feed the wire so it's protected from the
squeeze and twist of the trunk closing on it. A scanner antenna without that
protection starts wearing through pretty quickly, I discovered.
I'm working on getting an extra clamp just to use for that purpose...
