The 9/11 attack produced not just the events of the day - it has to all
intents and purposes permanently inconvenienced everyone who travels by
air, especially to the USA.  Every time you go for a plane you are reminded
of their message.

I don't think they're bothered about body counts. They want to cause
long-term disruption and economic loss.
