| subject: | Why does the US/UK say things like this? |
From: Ad http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/03/10/wirq10.xml "The British ambassador to Iraq yesterday said a groundbreaking international summit in Baghdad today would deliver a clear message to Iran and Syria that they must halt interference in the country." Sigh. (A) So why is everyone gathering round for a conference about Iraq.....that's interference...& yet ... (B) What exactly is an invasion, appointment of a gov, stationing mil forces in their thousands etc.etc ? I know so many ME types (both Arab & other) who simply acquire a pained expression when they hear crap like this because it actively hurts the US/UK case.
