It does exist, but it has been splintered into several distribution
systems, some (most?) of which overlap (in terms of echo carriage) to
varying degrees. FidoNet is a mere shadow of its former self. Only the
techie and FidoNet-specific (such as FidoNet Sysop) echoes survive in any
strength.
