Actually it is the opposite. I am asking for some vague scenario details
e.g. "with or without nukes".

Geo seems happy to just say "WW3" in what appears to be a
purposely vague manner.

Were this scrap to be a non-nuclear fight between India & China then it
might go on for months or years esp as other powers get sucked in.

However were Russia to launch a sudden & massive nuclear attack upon
the US it might only take a few minutes.
