All sorts of gotchas in this. I have to watch it if I reply as one of my
aliases, such as echo moderator, or any of the
others set up in this reader/editor.
A year or so back I did a good one though. Email listserv
for ham radio operators who control a network. NEt's
manager is a blind guy like me, and we're discussing early
morning shifts before the skip is really in good on that
band.
I made a joke about just reading a magazine with one's first cup of coffee,
and mentioned Playboy magazine.
I meant to email the net manager only, and not the rest of
the list, but I sent the darned thing without really
checking to see that I didn't include the cc: to the whole
group.
ASsistant net manager is a rather right-wing preacher and he got all spun
up about it. I just told the whole group not
to worry, ain't nobody discussing any pornography, then made an even bigger
funny out of it by mentioning how many folks
ask me if that brailled playboy mag has pictures. FOol
woulda been bettter off had he just decided to stfu but ...
I couched it as a "sorry, didn't mean to send that to the
list" which mollified him by throwing some more humor out to the list
in the process.
