Alice (that's the spousal unit) will be taking a well-earned vacation 
next week; unfortunately for her, the kids and I are tagging along. 
She'll just have to cope.

At any rate, we'll be out in the wilderness of Canada (some place called 
"Vancouver" for a couple of days; a cabin on the "sunshine
coast" the 
rest of the time), and I am planning to make a serious effort to be 
entirely without internet access the whole time.

This means that from Tuesday 30 Nov to Sunday 5 Dec inclusive, there 
will be no activity on the newsgroup, unless I can con David or Larry 
into filtering out the spam and sending it winging out into the ether. 
Guys?

Otherwise, it'll be a nice quiet week of vacation, and we should all 
take advantage of the time to take deep breaths, relax, and drink a 
homebrew.

If you want me, I'll be eating dim sum at the Pink Pearl.
