I've been involved in enough parent/teacher groups that the FTSC seems
sane. You should see Type-A parents around election time at a
crunchy-granola co-op pre-school.

True, but Fidonet has tried to bolt-on a moderation/control structure onto
a resilient network whereas usenet has relied on a "drink from the firehose
and manage your own kill filters" approach.
