From: "Alan Cairns"
Dosanj only became premier last week. It's a year ago tonight since we were
treated to the spectacle of Clark's house being raided by the RCMP in a
gambling scandal. Prior to Clark we had Harcourt, who resigned over the
diversion of funds from a charity bingo to the party, though I know him and
I'm sure he's personally innocent of all wrong doing.
Before that we had Rita Johnson for a few months, after the Vanderzalm
government fell in multiple scandals. Bill Vanderzalm was premier for quite
a time, but I found him an embarrassment. He was given to off the cuff
remarks which got him into trouble, and he sold videos of himself giving
gardening lessons and playing Sinterklaas. I think it must be something in
the air.
