Craig,
I've got a setup that works great for me and might save you time and money.
I'm using Marksman's pellet trap #2085 with duct seal stuck to the inside
back of the trap. With a 1" layer of duct seal inside it will stop .22
pellets from my R1 at point blank.
The best thing about the all metal trap is it's price tag. I paid $15.00 on
sale for the trap which comes with targets, four NRA regulation metal
silhouettes: Ram, Pig, Goose, and chicken. There is also a pendulum device
that you can hang the silhouettes on inside the trap.
The trap is grooved at the front so that you can slide a piece of cardboard
into it and tape targets to the cardboard.
Good shooting.
