Yes & no. A drone can be recalled.

1) A cruise missile's range is predicated upon it being a 1 way trip. 2) In
addition landing gear is a range reducing luxury . 3) A Cruise can be fired
from a marine environment or dropped from an aircraft meaning...recall to
where?

i.e. were a 700 mile range drone say 200-300 miles into it's trip then yes
it could be recalled to crash land somewhere close to where it was fired
(assuming a land base).

However it would actually be of no use given that unless the crash landing
was well done, you'd just have broken bits anyway so....you may as well
just have an "abort" routine/signal which simply crashes the
device upon receipt.

However....if you have an abort routine/signal....then you are running a
risk that the enemy find out how to generate & send them.
