Um... wake up - coffee time, smell the nice odors drifting on the breeze.

so you would probably get 28.8k connections eventhoug

I had the pleasure of delivering 32+ Mb of FileBone last week, at 3950 average.
Granted, it was a local call. If it had been STD, it would have come close
to paying for the modem in one call.

Granted, I'll be laying in a cable modem as quickly as I can - the service
life of the cable at high speed is expected to be very short according to
the reports I'm getting. The allocated bandwidth per subscriber is down in
the area of 1600cps, once it's fully taken up for that particular suburb.
(Half a 28.8, in other words.) We should get 3 months of high speed,
another 3 months of fair operation, and then we'll be back to v32bis - and
likely with no capability of going back to voice circuits for modem
connections.

CA> i mean the diff may be 30sec per megabyte so it really aint worth it

3250 vis 3950 does not quite compute in that way...

Dave Hatch.
