According to Microsoft, it *may* have other effects on the operation of the 
software than just being nasty to the Normal.dot and other templates.
The firm I work for got hit with these macro viruses some months ago and we 
continued to have problems--documents spuriously occurances of corruption. 
When we reloaded templates from before the virus hit, the vast number of 
occurances ceased.
