Regina,
Sounds like your daughter has gotten a 'perfectionist' complex in
her head. My youngest has been getting that way too, allowing it to
creep up on her. What you can do is constantly remind her that
nothing in this world is perfect and she does not have to strive for
perfect, just do her BEST in whatever she endeavors to do. You can
ask her to keep practicing at the problem that she feels she did not
get right until she is satisfied with it. Maybe sometimes she needs
a challenge that may seem beyond her years, but may interest her
more. Other times she may need something easier that is underneath
her years. Sorta like a tug-o-war but in different ways. I hope
you find the help you need.
