Yes Howard, you are right, money is the reason a person starts a business.
However, after extensive research, and many counselling sessions with clients
of mine, I have found that without the discipline of working in a traditional
workplace enviroment, ie. time clocks, bosses, deadlines, quotas, etc., there
are those of us who tend to become somewhat relaxed in our business
actices.
Sitting in the corner of ones living room, or the spare bedroom, just does'nt
seem like work for some people. They need that extra boost. They need to
define their Purpose. Running a business from home definitely has its
monetary advantages, but a good motivational lift can mean the world for the
home business person.
The MOYIV-8 Newsletter is not just a bunch of quotes taken from motivational
gurus, it delivers constant reaffirming messages and ideas to help lower the
added stress of running a business.
It helps people who have doubts about their venture to realize that they are
doing the right thing.
Here is a quote from the Feb. '97 issue: "Opportunities, dreams and goals are
out there for everyone. All you need is a goal or a dream, the opportunity
to fulfill it, a workable plan, and you are well under way to personal and
business success."
Here's another one: "Read as many books and articles as possible about
successful people. Get yourself a MENTOR. Take their advice, follow in
their footsteps, learn from their experiences and you will find that they
have paved the way for YOUR success."
Money or not "Don't ever let anybody steal your dreams"
