Do you happen to know if any other Rockwell-based V.34 modems support SREJ
? As far as I can determine, there are none.

Incidentally, as far as pricing is concerned, the current Dynalink (aka USR
Sportster DSVD, which is a 33k6bps flash-ROM based voice modem) looks
awfully hard to beat at a street price of around $250, which is $100-$150
cheaper than the Viper's street price!

I was also very surprised to note that the Viper's Rockwell 3903-57
controller chip is 16-bit, whilst some of the purportedly
"high-end" models (such as the Dataplex Access) are only 8-bit,
but the real shock came with the $1100 Banksia Deskporte Fast+ (presumably
a Microcom rebadge) which uses an 8-bit Zilog Z80, a CPU which I haven't
seen for many, many years. :)

It's still caveat emptor, it would seem...
