Although I appreciate your faith in me, this simply isn't true and is
likely to plant yet another burr under Charles' saddle. I had ended my
last term as moderator by a couple of years when Fido started taking the
big hits. I kept my local point address until sometime in the early 90's.
By that time, I was working ridiculously long hours and really had no time
to participate any more, so I disconnected from FidoNet.
A few years passed and I found connections on the Internet, most recently
this one at Yahoo groups. However, the people to thank for these efforts
to keep the C_Echo alive are elsewhere (thanks Tom!)

This has been recently discussed... Now that my long employment dry spell
is over, I have a fortuitous mix of finances, enthusiasm, and time to
devote to everything SNIPPETS (which includes the C site, the audio site,
and others), and have begun.
The first concrete result of interest here will be a C_Echo-style mailing
list. As soon as that's officially published, Tom and I have agreed in
principle to explore ways to gate the Fido C_Echo to the new mailing list
with hopefully more reliability that has been evinced by Yahoo. Charles
will also be glad to know that I plan to set it up so that while I will
have to be the List admin (i.e. I have the root password for the server),
the list moderator can, and hopefully will, be someone else.
