I used to "keep" geckos as "pets" for thier skill in
athropod crunching. They were wild but they became human habituated. I used
to love the way they could run right round a room in the vertical plane....

But the noise of happy crunching from behind the fridge was what amused my
mother (& thus kept her sweet to my "pets").
