RG> 1 BIG Question here; are you refering to Windows 3.1 -or- 95?
RG> Win3.1 has PIF (program information file) and W95 has a modem
RG> *.INI file. If you're looking for an INI file for W95 and can't
RG> find the mfgr of the modem, open that sucker up (unless it's an
RG> internal). You bought it used, correct? You don't have much of a
RG> warranty to lose. There is a possibility you can find some info inside
RG> the unit by reading the info on the chips (Rockwell, Intel, Texas
RG> Instrument for example). Look on the board itself -- it may be
 RG> silkscreened there.
Yes...I have win '95. The modem is internal, and there is no label or
manufacturer on the card itself. All I have found are the model #'s
I quoted previously, and I also know it is a texas instruments chipset.
But none of this info helps me...I still do not know the manufacturer!
