It's a "WD - Elements External Hard Drive - 8Tb", it cost £125 from
Currys in September.  Complete drive in box with USB interface etc.,
it was cheaper than a bar drive of the same capacity!

It's 3.5" I assume.

So far it's worked well and I (quite) like it powering down when idle
though I'm not sure that this is really better for long term
reliability.
