| subject: | Standards for Function K |
Jasen Betts wrote in a message to Neil Heller: NH> Is there a standard for function keys other than F1 (help)? JB> No, word perfect even has help on f3 :) That is so non-standard... That program also relies *excessively* on those function keys. It wouldn't bother me so much if I could find a later-type keyboard that would put them on the side like they used to. WordStar back in the CP/M days got it right with their use of ctrl-whatever keys, a touch typist doesn't have to take their hands off the home rows to do stuff. I'm thinking of maybe making changes like that in mc. :-) ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
