Alt-L is what I meant, but it doesn't matter, I presume you just
got a "NO CARRIER" your end.
Can you dial my BBS and leave a contact # so that we can do
a few experiments. If you set your port rate to 2400 or 1200
or 300 you should be able to get on. Or else send netmail
to 3:711/934. [checks] Oh, I see you have entered a phone
number as part of a successful login, presumably when I was
running a different modem. Let me know if you are happy to do
some experiments and I'll give you a call, assuming that is
your proper number.
GR> I add below a message from Blaise sysop of the netcomm BBS.

-> It is often busy, but no handshaking problems. If you say now that

GR> Gery,
GR> All we do is reset the modem with a ATZ and then issue
GR> AT&F&C1&D2&K3s0=0s95=46
GR> ..Blaise...
My configuration has nothing special in it that makes it different
from the above. There is something seriously wrong with the
Netcomm, and it appears to be line-dependant. It needs someone
to take a look at it. If you let Blaise know from your end that
you are still having the problem, even with the new beta ROMs in
the Netcomm, I'll send him the logs from my system. Let him know
that I am sending the logs to do with your calls.
Don't ditch your modem yet - I'd like to see this problem resolved
before it's too late, and the problem reverts to being a problem
between a Maestro and the M34F, instead of the current situation
where both modems are manufactured by Netcomm.
BFN. Paul.
