Steven Micallef was conversing with All about CPS Rates.

SM> Hi everyone. My name is Steven Micallef. I have a SimpleModem
SM> 28.8kVFC. My average CPS rate is 3500k. I would like to know what
SM> your average cps rate is. If you do bother to reply, could you tell
SM> me the brand and speed. Thank you. Steven Micallef :-)

You're getting a very good connection, you're using data compression and
your target BBS is fairly local. Lucky you.

I usually get 3300 on a good day. That's not often around here.

I use a Maestro Exec 288FM (v.fc) It's pretty good for what I do with it.
I'd be happier if Albany didn't have extremely crud 'phone lines.
