Aw, what a stinker! I know he's just a baby, but I am still disappointed
-- from what I hear in the magazines, Metallic is quite a ham and
I was hoping he would do well, at least for a green horse.
Poor Robert Dover; he just doesn't have good luck at the Olympics.
I remember at Barcelona, Graf George spit out the bit at the beginning
of one the tests and Dover had to ride the whole way without being able to do
a darned thing about it.

I'm hoping that I can see this on my tape somewhere. This morning I happened
to catch Michelle's Kur and she had a terrible time with Peron. First he
spit out the bit and spooked, and then after that he settled down some, but
all the transitions were really ragged and he seemed just to have a bad case
of the 'don't wanna's'. But even with that, his final halt was miles and
away better than what Gigolo did. I thought it was pretty shabby for a horse
of that caliber to stop all unbalanced and scramble to get his feet under
himself that way.
Thanks for the report -- hope you can write more later!
