Continuing problem.  E.g. I couldn't patch JSpell, which I use here as the 
spelling-checker under GoldED (well, when I use it).  Eventually got it to 
work by using SLOWDOWN to slow the processor, and reversing the process 
afterwards.  Not ideal, though.
