How does one estimate the value, anyways? We used to have a tax based on
posession, but abolished it; the tax payers office spent more money on
determining the values than it got from that tax. And I'm sure it gets even
more difficult if you own even more stuff. If you own a small house in some
town and 1000 shares of some company, then you could sell it for the usual
price. But if you own half the town and 49% of some company, the prices drop as
soon as you start selling in large amounts ...
