TE> Here's one to chew on. Some colleagues are translating
TE> a German work, a famous philosophical text with a
TE> standard critical edition in German. They need to have
TE> the page numbers of the German text in the margin next
TE> to the line where the translation hits the new page.
TE> Is there a way to do this so that the margin numbers
TE> will stay in place despite revisions in the text which
TE> might cause the text to expand and contract? Right now
TE> they've got two columns and are having to eyeball the
TE> page number position every time they revise.
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but if I understand you, a putting
the page numbers outside the margin as a frame would do the trick. Feel free
to e-mail me (bjf@wavefront.com) for my phone number if you want to talk
about it.
