Absolutely, that's exactly why. I just meant it came across funny to me on the page.

Anyway, I finished it (about 560 pages with 40 or so more of
"real" notes) and it was a good read. One complaint is he had the
good guys suffering very debilitating injuries of a variety of sorts, but
still carrying on, both too soon and for too long, after each incident, but
that's a minor nit.

It will make a great movie when someone options it -- perhaps that's
exactly why he made them too able to recover. And unfortunately, the
scenarios he paints of the tactics used by the global warming people just
don't sound all that implausible.
