I'm sure there was enough time to get information on the candidates before they
voted for Trump.

You (as a people) seem to be very focused on personal mishaps in the past and
not on plans for the future. And that's what Trump represents, he had success
in the past and he's gonna fail in the future.

That's what Angel Merkel's success was based on, she never had an opinion on
anything - so noone had ever heared anything they didn't like - until that
refugee problem came up.
