Not quite.  Jesus made it clear while he was alive that his message was for
everyone not just the Jews.  Its true that Paul brought the message to
gentiles, but so did many of the other apostles.  The Jews of the day did
their part to make sure that Jesus' message was brought to the gentiles.
They had this nasty habit of stoning to death Jews who were Christians.
Paul was such a Jew himself before his conversion.  It is a crime to this
day to preach Jesus' message to a Jew in Israel.  Old habits die hard, I
guess.
