That's interesting. I guess it's more a factor of being against change in
general, with different players in different geographic regions passing the
baton for maintaining the status quo.
I'm pretty sure the scenario I was describing was presented in the NYTimes,
whose articles get regurgitated nationwide, so I was guilty of painting the
MSM with too wide a brush.
