That *may* be true, but don't forget that there is an incredibly strong
opposition to charter schools by the establishment, which includes the MSM,
so I'd take those results with a healthy helping of skepticism.

It's actually quite astounding, the level of obfuscation the press uses to
make charter schools *appear* to be failing. Statistics are highly
maneuverable, as you very well know, if the right wording and limitations
on data sets are presented as fact. I recall reading some highly accusatory
prose about how only 25% (I'm estimating the numbers from memory) of
charter students passed this test or that and playing up the 75% failure
rate as proof that charter schools were a bad idea. END.
