Life began in the sea.  Evolved into mammals.  Then went back to the sea:
whales, seals, etc.

Cave-dwellers that, having once evolved eyes, lose them again.

Boxy, ugly "coaches with engines" become sleek aerodynamic cars,
only to return to Azteks and Scions.
