Hehehe I know that one! I still find explicit joins a bit mystifying at
times. It's probably more obvious in other SQL DB's but Oracle does the
implicit inner join so well, it can be missed pretty easy.
Today I did a really fast simple one for a co-worker who was access
challanged tot he dbo's.
SELECT * FROM ALL_PERS_GRP A, ALL_CSE_COMPL B where a.emp_id=b.emp_id order
by compl_dt
Ohter DBO's may require something more like
SELECT * right inner join ALL_PERS_GRP on ALL_CSE_COMPL where (SELECT
ALL_PERS_GRP.EMP_ID=ALL_CSE_COMPL.EMP_ID) order by compl_dt
(or close to that with so many variations of DB engines).
Oh I simplified. there was also an AND to narrow to a specific course.
