A mighty fine use for the people who are being evacuated who were unable to
leave because they didn't have the resources (money/vehicle, etc), who are
now being bussed to Houston (Houston, you have a problem...25k people,
homeless, no job, no money).  At the appropriate time, bring the able
bodied people back to temp housing, and put them to work (paid of course),
doing cleanup, TEACH them a skill (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, general
construction) and let them help rebuild the area.

As you say, they're going to need far more people than most areas of the
country can spare for a long time.

Maybe now's the time to buy stock in Home Depot, Loews, forestry companies?
Talk about the forthcoming "new housing boom" (unfortunate the
reason, but the reality is that BILLIONS will be spent over the next few
years).

Heck, if there were refineries damaged/destroyed, maybe it's time to build
a NEW one that's more efficient?????  Ya Think????
