That I wouldn't know other than I've had far too many issues with systemd in
the past to look at anything where that is the default. Get rid of that and
perhaps that will get it running again ?
As for framebuffer penguins on bootup I've managed to get them working using
4.19.x kernels on intel based graphics. So far none of the 5.x kernels have
worked other than on the ast based system where I get 8 penguins. Mind you I
haven't tried 5.6 yet. Probably tomorrow.
