If BTLZ is left enabled, the modem will hang for periods of up to 30-40 seconds at a time, which is simply not acceptable. However, I wonder if (assuming compression is specifically required) forcing MNP4 EC with MNP5 compression would be a viable workaround (S27=32 &K1) ? FF> Even if the bug makes V42bis unusable, the modem could still be a great buy FF> for only $239. Agreed, especially as a replacement bug-fix EPROM is imminent...
